Starting his sushi career in Korea - trained 2 years in japan - and ended up in Chicago land for the last 22 years. Avid traveler - loves to serve Omakase style. He curates a menu distinct to each guest and accommodates based on personal taste preference.
Shiro has a wealth of knowledge about each dish and ingredient and loves to answer any question one might have. Regularly importing fish from japan - and focusing on fresh produce - he is in a position to make BarKaya a top dining destination for western mass.
